A home for an artist couple. The suburban flat was refurbished to accommodate the work and home needs for a small family. Natural light is used as a material which flows thru the space. The materials in the spaces are used to control the amount of reflection and differentiate between work, contemplation and relaxation spaces. The House is divided into 2 zones: public & studio, family and personal. Furniture and objects are subtle and try to be invisible so that they don’t distract you. Openness in the spaces also gives a flexibility for WFH. This was a pre-pandemic idea so as to have more personal time. And still carve out personal spaces within the house. Special care has been given to the use of material for its sustainable footprint and to try and us less material but not compromise on experience.
